What an exciting game last night! I had some knitting that I intended to work on while watching the game, but it was such an intense game that I sat on the edge of my seat the whole night. I knitted a few rows before the start of the game, but after the tip off my knitting was abandoned.
20 years ago, when I was 9 months pregnant with the fashionista, my wedding anniversary happened to fall on the very same night as the championship game. My HB wanted to make all sorts of plans to celebrate our anniversary and, being the KU basketball fan that I am, I said he could make all the plans he wanted as long as I was home by 8 p.m. to watch the game. I don’t think he realized at first that I was truly serious, but I was home by 8 p.m. to watch KU and Danny Manning!
What an awesome game it was — 20 years ago and last night, too!
I am currently knitting a diagonal dishcloth using an interesting pattern by eLoomanator that I found on Ravelry. I will post a pic of it when it is finished. On my to do list this week, I have listed the seaming of the tank and the seaming of the baby kimono. Must get these done! I must stop procrastinating —
I spent part of my weekend with Soldier Daughter and my little buddy. We had a nice visit. Soldier Daughter loves to play Scrabble, so I took my game board up and we played two games Friday evening after the little buddy went to bed and another game after lunch on Saturday during his nap time. She had a leg of lamb she wanted help cooking and eating, so we had lamb for lunch on Saturday. I brought up hummus and pita bread, and I made a salad of lettuce, cucumber and feta cheese. It turned out to be a great lunch. We took the little buddy to the park for a few hours as the weather was sunny and nice — a bit windy, but it was nice to get out. I spent some time teaching him to do a forward somersault. He was beginning to get the hang of it. I drove back late Saturday afternoon. I had things to do at home and Soldier Daughter doesn’t watch basketball and I could not miss the KU-UNC game.
