Sockapalooza’d

I have been sockapalooza’d!  There was a package in the mailbox when I got home yesterday.  I was a bit confused as the return address was in my very own city!  What a small world it is sometimes.  I wonder if Alison realized she was pairing up two hometown gals —

My pal Kimberly knit me a lovely pair of Snowflake Lace socks — MagKnits pattern in Glen Plaid Patons Kroy.  They are a perfect fit and I absolutely LOVE them!  Nothing like a pair of handknit socks on your toesies that were knit by someone else!  She also sent me a knitting mystery and Tazo Calm tea — How cool is that!

As I was taking a photo this morning before trudging off to the office, I also snapped a pic of my progress on my log cabin sock yarn blanket —

Tonight is dinner out with my youngest DD and then some shopping — I hope to get a longer post written over the weekend.  But I also have to drive to Ft. Worth and back, so I’m not sure how much I will get done over the weekend.
